1. Information We Collect

We collect simulated information solely to demonstrate the application's capabilities. Depending on how you interact with the Digimenu showcase, the following may be collected:

a. For Demo/Test Merchants (Business Owners):

• Account Details: Full name, mock/test email address, and hashed passwords.
• Business Details: Business name, address, mock contact number, logo, and cover images.
• Social Integrations: Simulated Facebook Messenger Page ID or settings used to demonstrate custom layouts.
• No Billing Data: No payment details, billing references, or GCash receipt numbers are collected, as the billing system is entirely removed.

b. For Diners (Customers):

Diners do not need to register. When simulating placing an order on a public menu, we collect:

• Customer Identifier: A diner name or table number (provided by you at checkout) to identify the order on the dashboard.
• Order Details: Items selected, quantity, price, fulfillment type (Dine-in / Takeaway), preparation notes, and timestamp.
• No Payment Details: No credit card numbers, GCash credentials, or bank details are collected. All simulated transactions are free or completed via manual demonstration options.

c. For Contact/Feedback Inquiries:

If you use our contact form, we collect your email address and message text to demonstrate the contact and email delivery systems.

2. How We Use Information

We process data exclusively to showcase the features of this web application:

• Feature Demonstration: Rendering public-facing digital menus, transmitting real-time orders, and displaying live updates on the merchant staff dashboard.
• Simulated Alerts: Delivering real-time audio alerts and testing email notifications (using sandbox/developer tools).
• Application Performance: Tracking errors, monitoring log files, and testing the database structure.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosures

We value privacy and do not sell or rent data. In this portfolio project environment, please note:

• Public Visibility: Since this is a test showcase, any menu items, businesses, and test orders you create are publicly visible to anyone who visits the public menu URLs or views the demo dashboards.
• Service Providers: We host this application on a standard web hosting platform and database provider. No real commercial third-party integrations (like payment processors or marketing trackers) are enabled.
• Legal Disclosures: Although this is a demo, we comply with standard regulations and will delete any data upon request or if required by law.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser Local Storage to enable fundamental features of the showcase:

• Diner Cart Retention: The browser's localStorage is used to save selected menu items so that the cart persists if a diner refreshes the public menu page.
• Merchant Session Cookies: Secure, standard session cookies keep you logged in to the admin control panel.

5. Data Security

We employ standard web security protocols, including password hashing (bcrypt) and HTTPS encryption, to secure the platform. However, because this is a personal portfolio project, it does not carry enterprise-level guarantees. You must not use real or reused passwords when creating test accounts.

6. Data Retention & Wiping

Because this is a demonstration project, database contents may be reset, cleared, or re-seeded periodically. Active merchant accounts, menu configurations, and order logs may be deleted without prior notice. If you wish to manually delete a test account, you may do so through your dashboard profile or contact the developer.

7. Privacy Rights

We respect data privacy principles (including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 / RA 10173). You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of any test data associated with your email address. Requests will be honored promptly.
